In 2015, we moved into our old, beautiful home in Dixon, Illinois—once a dairy farm—and set out on a dream that had lived in our hearts for years: to create a safe haven for animals in need.
Since then, we’ve poured our love into every corner of this place. We rebuilt the chicken coop with care, crafted a cozy shelter for our cows, and even created a little creek just for our ducks—complete with their own snug coop beside the water.
A greenhouse now blooms with life, and new fencing wraps around the land, ensuring every animal can wander safely, free to enjoy the sun, the grass, and the peace they deserve.
From the beginning, our mission has been simple, but deeply felt: to offer animals a lifelong home filled with love, dignity, and care. Although we started as a home for farm animals, we recently transitioned to a no-kill farm sanctuary, a place of comfort and second chances. I like to think of it as a “retirement village for animals”—a quiet, joyful place where they are seen, valued, and cherished for who they are.
In 2025, we proudly became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a milestone that allows us to expand our reach and deepen our commitment to animal welfare. With every new arrival, every gentle nuzzle, every morning chorus from the barns, we are reminded why we do this—and why we’ll never stop.
